THE BIBLE
We believe the BIBLE which consists of 66 books of the old testament and new testament is the living, essential and infallible word of God.
THE TRINITY
We believe in the one and only true God. The God of creation, Father of lights with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. We believe in the unity of the godhead there are three persons, co-existent, co-eternal: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. - Ephesians 1:13-14
JESUS CHRIST
Jesus Christ is God the Son, the second person of the Trinity. HE is the eternal word of God made flesh and was conceived supernaturally by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is the image of the invisible God, the first born of all creation and in Him the fullness of God dwells bodily. He is the only man ever to have lived a sinless life but he that knew no sin was made sin for us by shedding His blood on the cross for our sins, that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory.
SALVATION
We are saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ; His death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human efforts.
SANCTIFICATION
God chose us as first fruits to be saved through the sanctifying work of the Spirit and through belief in the truth. The Holy Spirit of God is the active agent in our sanctification and seeks to produce His character in us as our minds are renewed and we conformed to the image of Christ.
HOLY GHOST BAPTISM
Given at Pentecost, it is the promise of the Father, sent by Jesus after His Ascension, to empower the Church to preach the Gospel throughout the whole earth.
THE CHURCH
The church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of Jesus' Great Commission. Every person who is born of the Spirit is an integral part of the church as a member of the body of believers. The church exists to worship and glorify God as Father, Son and Holy spirit. There is a spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.
BAPTISM
Following faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, the new convert is commanded by the Word of God to be baptized in water in the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Baptism is a public confession that they have been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ and a demonstration that the old and sinful life had been buried with Christ. The come out of the water as Jesus Christ rose from the dead to a new life.
THE LORD’S SUPPER
A unique time of communion in the presence of God which was passed down to the church as an ordinance of the church to be observed by genuine Christians who have faith in Jesus. The bread and the wine symbolize the breaking of Christ’s body and the shedding of His blood on our behalf and is to be observed repeatedly throughout the Christian’s life as a sign of continued participation in the atoning benefits of Christ’s death.
THE MANDATE
Jesus Christ before His ascension to heaven gave every believer a mandate: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever He has commanded us.
